Great atmosphere and friendly staff! Our group of four arrived about half an hour before our reservation and were seated promptly, though the food took a bit longer to arrive. They offer an interesting selection of beers. I tried the cider they had, which tasted very much like apple juice—I really enjoyed it. The hard seltzers (mango guava) lacked a bit of character and could have benefited from a hint of lemon or lime. The food was quite good! Yes, the restaurant was slammed with football fans, but despite the long waits we had a fantastic time upstairs at the bar. Tania the bartender was top notch and made sure we were well taken care of while we waited for our dinner to come out. We’ve both worked in the service industry before and completely understand how stressful nights like this can be on a restaurant staff- so we were so thankful for Tania’s good humor and conversation. The wings and quesadillas really hit the spot after a busy day. We really enjoyed our time at Max Lagers and will definitely come back to try some of the pizza next time.
It was probably us, as we like Max Lagers and dine here every time we come to Downtown ATL. Tonight we arrived just plain old popped from work and not really in a dining mode. My husband’s burger was as good as always and he has decided the beef burger is a better choice for him as apposed to bison as the beef is much juicer. The burger was cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare. My quesadilla was just so so tonight. Actually it arrived barely warm and as we did not have follow up service, I just coped with it
Milan was the standout part of our visit to Max Lager's American Grill Brewery! His knowledgeable recommendations on both food and drinks, combined with his excellent communication and warm hospitality, made us feel truly welcomed. It was a very busy night so not too surprised but I ordered a medium rare steak and it came very rare. Too bad it looked great. Other than that excellent service but because of the crowd and a very big group our server never came back to check on our meals.
Excellent spot for craft brewery enthusiasts. They offer a wide selection of beers and wines. The service was top-notch. The interior has a great vibe, featuring the biggest vintage 48-star American flag I've ever come across.
Christopher was our server and he was awesome!! Food was also super delicious but he made our experience so much fun. Definitely a memorable dining experience and I will definitely come back when in town!
The food is delicious and the service is great. The restaurant can be a bit noisy, making it hard to have conversations, but overall it is a great discovery in Atlanta.
