Schwaebisch Gmuend can be short of options at some days at some times. I would not consider Max & Moritz as a restaurant, more kind of a pub/bistro kind of etablishment. Nevertheless, considering they do not really have a kitchen nor a chef (at least I could not make this out) the food was actually not bad. By all fairness I went there in the afternoon with a group of 8 people and one restaurant staff did it all: Service, cooking (or better heating up), cashering....etc.The Meat Loaf Briegel out of the Pizza Oven is kind of a must have.....

Interesting atmosphere inside, and outside, you'll feel as comfortable and relaxed as you would eating in the backyard of a friend's house. Portions are sizable and tasty, especially the Maultaschen.
