We've been living in the area for 12 years and Maya is our favourite restaurant on the beach. The food is always excellent (and this year a new chef took it to an even higher level,) all produce is local and prepared and served in a very creative way, the wine list is very reasonably priced and the staff is just amazing - young, friendly, cool and very fast at the same time. The view is of course great too and we enjoy renting sun beds when we have a luxury to spend a morning or an afternoon there. Fabulous setting decor, beach shack par excellence ! The beach part (as this place is right on it! is fun, I rented a beach bed and felt like a queen when waiter came to ask what I want to drink. In the restaurant, eclectic objects, assembled with taste and making an ensemble like a movie set for a cool beach TV show. And then you talk to people, the crew, and you are like in a dream of perfection. Those young waiters/tresses are welcoming, cheerful, friendly, helpful and genuine. You won't find Maya by chance - it's well away from the hustle and bustle, at the end of a long, bumpy dirt track. But it's well worth the effort. The first sight is stunning - the back of the building is made entirely from multi-coloured old shutters. And the favourable impression is confirmed by the shabby chic interior, right on the beachfront, with view across to the mountains. The food is very good and not too grossly over-priced. Seafood is a speciality - I had a good sea bass - but their steaks looked good too. Service hits the right balance between informality and efficiency. I wish we were there now.
This is the place to be if you like good food, good music, nice staf and a relaxing atmosphere. sunbed €12, or sunmatras2x2m €35, . It is not cheap but quality is good and worth the money. Expect to pay €100-€150 for two. sunmatras, lunches and a few drinks . It is about 1km on a dusty gravel road to reach the car parking. From there about 100 m walk to the sea. You cannot miss.

We loved this club so much we went back 3 times in a 4 day stay in the area ! And brought my parents! As former restaurateurs we are nearly always disappointed when we go out; it's not often we find a place that manages to combine a fab setting, friendly staff, good music, amazing food and reasonable prices. Congrats to David and the team see you next year!
What a great place! Unfortunatly it was fully booked for dinner and we were too late for lunch. But we could do tapas and childmenus. And then the atmosphere! It is treat! Its not the cheapest place but it is money well spend. Its that fab holiday feeling of great food and relaxing combined. The tableware and entourage all makes it picture perfect!
When you arrive at this eclectic beach restaurant, you cant help but be impressed by its layout and design, built from old shutters and driftwood, the restaurant spills out onto the beach, the food was fresh and well prepared and the service friendly, well worth a visit.
This was a special day out to celebrate a birthday, we were there all day. Group of 6, Transat [sunbeds] all day glusdrinks and a meal. Hard to imaging a more relaxing venue. Staff just lovely too. Must book ahead as it gets really busy.

Living in Perpignan since 2010, each summer we are looking forward to go to the beach in Toreilles and afterwards we have a super lunch in Maya! Food very good, fantastic décor, we just love it! Mike and Johanne Darley.
