in short, I received a call from maypop on the late Friday afternoon. I'll notify you that they'll be closed on Sunday for osters. that was strange to me, as I had made an online letter table for a birthday dinner on Easter Sunday. There is fusion, and there is fusion. This is a melding of worlds you have to taste to believe. Everything on the menu from the signature tart to the bread to the staples (one or two) is a delightful rendering of southeast Asia (Cambodia/Vietnam) and south Louisiana. I had the Hot Pot. I didn't like hot pot in China, but at May Pop? It is a beautifully developed broth with clams and shrimp and collards and a lovely thin pasta swimming with chilis in rich pork broth that satisfied every part of me. My favorite restaurant in New Orleans was Maypop! The blend of Asian flavors and dishes fused with classic Louisiana food left me speechless! Each dish was beautifully crafted by Executive Chef Michael Gulotta, with the perfect balance of spices and flavor. My favorite dish of the night which is a must order is the Blue Crab Dumplings. They are topped with a delicious coconut milk and mushroom sauce bringing SO much flavor to the dish. The service was wonderful and thevibe was perfect for a fun Friday night out!

The menu is undoubtedly unique, with a combination of native New Orleans cuisine enhanced by the chef's travels/experiences in Asia. You definitely cannot find the same pairing of tastes and textures elsewhere. Each course has an incredible balance of flavors rich sauces complimented by something tangy and fresh. The attention to detail, service attitude and knowledge, and creativity are top tier. It's a must go in NOLA for any food enthusiasts, I especially loved the bonemarrow appetizer. my favorite restaurant in new orleans was maypop! the mix of Asian aromes and dressed merged with classic louisiana let me eat speechless! each dish was beautifully made by executive chef michael gulotta, with the perfect balance of seasoned and taste. my favorite food of the night that is one is the blue crab dumpling. they are with a delicious kokosmilch and mushroom sauce with so much taste on the dish. the service was wonderful and the mood was perfect for a funny Friday night out!

the menu is undoubtedly unique, with a combination of local new orleans cuisine, which is improved by traveling the cook/experience in asia. they cannot find the same pairing of taste and textures elsewhere. each curs has an incredible balance of aromen rich sauces of something brownish and fresh. the attention to detail, service setting and knowing and creativity are top class. it is a must-go in nola for all food enthusiasts, I especially loved the knochenmark appetizer.

What an INCREDIBLE restaurant!!!! I?m a solo traveller and was so excited to come here. Gutted that I could only order for 1 because I would?ve loved to try every dish! The food here is so unique and I loved the ingredients and combination of flavours. I?ve not eaten anything like this back home in London. we had a party of eight and were just on the hyatt on the road. this restaurant is very unique. limited menu, but everyone loved their food and drinks.
