This part of Kentucky is new to the Bourbon Trail and I can't recommend a stop at MB Rolland enough. I was fortunate to end up with Jonathon as our tour guide and he did a splendid job guiding us through the bourbon creation process at MB Rolland. Between him and Red the cat you'll be in good hands should you choose to stop by and I highly recommend that you do. It's a terrific story behind the start of this distillery back in 2009 and they are expanding their process as we speak. In the lower field they have just constructed a brand new 4000 barrel capacity rick house to house their barrels while they age. The old farmhouse has a historical feel to it complete with a couple of rocking chair...
I had an incredible experience at this distillery! We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Paul and Merry Beth, who were warm and welcoming. They took the time to explain their unique processes and what distinguishes them from others. They use a variety of white corn, which really enhances the flavor and character of their bourbons—something I haven't encountered elsewhere. The flavored liqueurs are also fantastic! We couldn't resist and ended up purchasing three of them along with their bourbons. I highly recommend trying the Barker's Mill and their corn whiskey!
This is a smaller distillery, but it offers a diverse selection of bourbons and other spirits, along with tours, tastings, and various events. I participated in a tour and tasting, which allowed me to see nearly the entire operation since everything is located in one place. Loralee was an excellent guide, and I definitely plan to return in a few months to check out any new products they have developed. Their hours are Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm, Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 1 pm to 6 pm (as of Spring 2023).
We spent a night here as guests via Harvest Host, and it was absolutely lovely. The informative tour was a highlight, and Malia was an amazing guide! She also led our tasting, which was a lot of fun. And of course, the real stars were the bourbon, whiskey, and moonshine—they truly speak for themselves! We left with plenty to keep us stocked up on our journey to the East Coast. I highly recommend visiting this establishment!

I had a great time with my parents at the distillery. Olivia, our guide, and the gift shop manager were wonderful, knowledgeable hosts. The outdoor cats made us feel particularly welcome as well. Definitely worth the drive for the bourbon. Try the dark fired bourbon if you get a chance. Neat flavor! We left with 3 bottles. I’ll be back.
This charming craft bourbon distillery is fantastic! I enjoyed a tour and tasting that was both informative and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The place is steeped in history, spanning from whiskey production to milk farming.
We stayed at MB Rowland Distillery through Harvest Host. They were incredibly welcoming. We did a bourbon tasting and could have done a distillery tour. They had us park in their overflow lot for the night. It was peaceful and beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Small and very friendly staff. This distillery tucked in a very beautiful Kentucky country side. We got good amount of souvenirs to bring home to Texas. Thank you for the hospitality.
