I rarely feel the urge to write a review, and I generally avoid complaining. I understand that everyone can have off days and that employees are only human, so I tried to overlook my experiences. However, during my visits to this McDonald's, I encountered just one polite staff member. Most of the team seemed curt and had a negative attitude, even when I was friendly. It often felt like customers were seen as an inconvenience. From now on, I think I'll try other dining options. I'm not trying to be harsh, but this location really needs to improve its customer service. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, as you never know what someone else might be going through.
I completely agree with you. This McDonald's, just four blocks from my home, is consistently one of the worst in the area. Over the thirteen years I've lived here, I've experienced stale fries, incorrect orders, and unprofessional, rude staff at the drive-thru. In comparison, the McDonald's on University near the Capitol offers much better service and food quality. The owners of the White Bear location should visit the University location to see how to enhance their operations. However, given the ongoing issues here, it appears that the owners themselves are likely the root of the problem.
The drive-thru service at my local McDonald's often has problems. About 60% of my orders are wrong, with missing items like sauce for my child's nuggets or milk for the kids' meals. I've also had mix-ups, such as getting tomatoes despite asking for none, or receiving a 4-piece nugget meal when I paid for a 6-piece. Additionally, the staff can be quite rude. The wait times are usually longer than I expect. Normally, I wouldn't bring this up, but it’s become a persistent issue.
I'm not sure why, but when the McDonald's drive-thru window opened to hand me my drink, I suddenly noticed a strong smell of marijuana. My passengers mentioned they smelled it too, even before I said anything. It could be a coincidence, but this is the first time I've encountered that scent at a fast food drive-thru. The rest of the menu was as expected, though.

I had to wait 15 minutes for a cup of coffee, even though there were no other customers in line at 3:15. One of the windows was boarded up because of a recent robbery attempt. I noticed a woman with a shopping cart full of her belongings nearby, and many of the other patrons seemed to be homeless. I won't be coming back.
This restaurant has a delightful and cozy ambiance. The restrooms are clean, although it's a bit disappointing that there are no paper towel dispensers. The front counter could use some enhancement, and the menu on the wall is quite small, which makes it difficult to read when you first arrive.
This McDonald's in White Bear Lake truly impresses. I placed my order online, and everything was correct, hot, and fresh (considering it’s fast food). The drive-thru employees were all professional and friendly, and they expressed their gratitude for my business. I have no complaints at all!
I just returned home from the drive-thru where I ordered four sausage egg McMuffins, but what I got were four Canadian egg muffins instead. The egg whites were runny. I don’t think I’ll be going back, as the language barrier made things more complicated than I wanted to deal with.

Try Ronald's classic American gourmet goulash—it's perfectly spiced and a wonderful comfort food. Also, be sure to enjoy their iced tea; it’s the best in the nation! I’m a huge fan of McDonald's sugar-free iced tea.
My large and intricate order was perfectly fulfilled and made fresh. This has been the best McDonald's in the Northeast metro area so far.
