Mcdonald's Monkswood Retail Park, Stevenage

It was bad enough before the refurbishment ie hit and miss experience. NOW its just plain terrible with dire service, cold food and the vast majority of staff are all kids. The on duty staff spend more time dicking about like clowns with the staff that are off duty rather than serving. This leaves the mature staff who do work to deal with everything. If you have the misfortune to order inside, thats it your left to gather dust, they concentrate on drive thru and deliveroo. Its beyond a joke, when your ‘fast’ (as a snail) food arrives its colder than the iceberg that hit the Titanic, and generally not what youve ordered because the orders screwed, which is clearly the result of employing kids...

Never eat in, always in a rush. We buy the Plant based burger quite often, it's always hot. No standard tho, sometimes gerkin, sometimes not. I'd like all Mcdonalds worldwide to include gerkin, or not. Please don't hit and miss! Another mcdonalds thing is the burger is hot the chips are lukewarm. Shame.... could appeal to many more if they upped their game and kept the salad/mayo in the burger rather than all around the box!

When you ask for a specific item I don’t expect to be told I can only have it in quantity of 20 not 9 or 6. Then they say they will put 6 spicy chicken nuggets into a bag and charge you and then when you get home you have 6 normal ones despite been charged for 6 spicy ones. Not even sure point in writing this as they’re just an absolute joke of a branch of McDonalds and tried to lie and still charge you money.

Cold food Missing food Don't answer the phone Staff can't take a simple order Ordered Big Mac meal. Got one burger in the big Mac and no fires Then when you try to call they don't answer the phone. Terribly slow service, with crowds of people waiting for food and complaining about how long they've been waiting. I've tried a couple of times since the refurbishment and had to wait over half an hour each time for a simple meal. Burger King down the road always felt slow, but is much faster than this now. I'll be avoiding!

Monks wood restaurant. McDonald's at Monks Wood claims iconic fast food, what I failed to realise was iconic meant in the past as it took us from order to collection 25 minutes. It was only a wrap and some fries. Not a big order. Back to the leisure park in the future.

No such thing as fast food here. We waited 30 minutes to get 3 meals and then a further 15 minutes to get 3 McFlurrys. There were 3 members of staff all trying to look busy and by the time we had finished our ice cream there were more staff than customers.

Ordered lunch via just eat. Wait time was excessive and when the food arrived all was cold Tried to call restaurant to find out the delay and tried to call again to advise of how cold the food was but no one answered the phone Reserva una mesa ahora

Service very slow, bins over flowing with dirty trays with rubbish being stacked up close by. Tables not checked and cleaned regularly.

Super friendly service, incredibly apologetic when they had run out of galaxy chocolate for a McFlurry! Very quick and efficient.
