We took our granddaughters this evening for dinner , me my partner went for the haddock cod , one with chips the other with fritters , with side’s of mushy peas, and a good supply of bread butter , which we...thoroughly enjoyed, one of the kids had pizza chips , I was pleasantly surprised that it was real dough oven baked pizza , I had to have a taste , the base was really top quality , my other granddaughter had chicken nuggets chips with separate ramekin of beans which we didn’t expect, nice touch , we were too full to order dessert but the choices looked good , the kids had a good sized ice cream cone with sprinkles , again good quality ice cream a soft drink all included in the kids meal...

We visited this place today and was disappointed in the staff. We ordered cans of coke and the girl poured these from the draugh machine. When I said to her we had ordered cans she told me they were cans just put into glasses...as they are not allowed to serve cans because of COVID. A blatant lie to my face. Another family asked if they had iron bru on draugh and were told they only have it in cans as they don’t do iron bru on draugh. The girl again poured their drinks from draugh despite telling them they don’t have draugh. Again another blatant lie. We asked for sauces for our fish and chips and never recieved any. Thouroughly dissappointed in our visit. We will not be back and will not be...

No complaint re food, quality and prices are great, but after travelling from South Yorkshire, placing an order and desperate for a crispy roll for my chips, get home and find no roll with order I was so disappointed for time today, previous place...brought my food and then told me crispy rolls sold out, so had food on soft rolls, staff at McMonagles very apologetic but just not good enough spoiled my dinner

Ordered two cod chips, one steak supper, and what appeared was the worst takeaway i have ever seen. Steak pie was some stew in a tub, with a soggy burnt piece of pastry and some tasteless chips. Fish was a good portion, but breaded.. had been cooked too long in the fryer or the oil needed changed. Chips awful, so were the mushy peas. Overall felt conned would never order from here again Reserva una mesa ahora

We went met family and have fish and chips. We had a great time. We've visited this restaurant over many years and the quality of the fish and chips has always been excellent. It was yesterday again. The staff were also lovely, efficient and friendly...making you feel at home. We are happy to go out of our way to visit McMonagles. What more could l say?

Staff are so polite, child friendly my 5yr old was given crayons and a menu to colour in, food was amazing atmosphere was brilliant it was a little warm on the Saturday I attended so the waiting staff let me keep the menu as a fan

Great breaded fish supper with crispy fresh chips. Quick service. East to find on the canal side. Restaurant closes at but you can use the take away and sit at the outside tables. Well worth the visit if passing through.

A fish supper used to be slice of fish. Only got bit if fish and wasnt even very big. Last visit for me always stopped here when in the area but its a hard pass from now on. Reserva una mesa ahora

don't get onion rings..the are the worse I've ever had. someone in there doesnt know how to do onion rings. !!!!

Order came without macaroni..in a macaroni supper and there was a hair in my food. Will not visit again
