We lived in the Tri-Valley region for 14 years and had always wanted to visit this restaurant. Surprisingly, it was quite quiet for a Friday night, but we had a great time sitting in the room with live piano music. The staff seemed a bit concerned about the low turnout. We took advantage of a deal that included an appetizer (fried artichokes) and a bottle of wine. We really enjoyed the artichokes. The experience was quite underwhelming. We started at the bar, where the bartender promised us blue cheese olives for our martinis, but conveniently forgot them while we were drinking. A few patrons tried ordering Old Fashioneds, but that was a no-go as they had run out of bitters. When we switched to Manhattans, what we received was essentially whiskey and Coke instead. Overall, the service was sluggish. The staff was friendly, but speed seemed to be of little concern to them. Dinner was mediocre.
