We were late into the restaurant, arriving there at 7.45. On arrival we took a seat straight away because we were hungry. We placed our order within 10 minutes of seating, ordering only the main meal being steak and veg for hubs and kids meal for myself, sausage and veg. We received the meal by 8.30pm to find that the veg were cold, or near to, with the meats being the only warm parts of the meal. Not hot but warm. We decided not to complain because they clearly had a problem in the kitchen as there were only two waitresses to cope with the @20 25 guests (and the manager was roped in to help in the kitchen). We finally left after not receiving the juice and ice cream that went with the meal...
We have stayed in this motel and eaten at this restaurant many times, but we have never been served a terrible meal like the most recent visit. We were told the chef was new...We arrived at opening time on the advice of the hotel reception, but were given a very cool welcome, as the one attendant was still setting the tables and attending to the fire. The two meals of lamb fillet and salmon were only seared, and had barely touched a hot plate. We sent them back, as the meal was inedible....we are not cannibals. Such a shame to ruin a good cut of meat! Will give it to the restaurant they did not charge us for the meal, but regardless of price, we had a long day's drive both ahead and behind u...
Not only was the ambience pleasant but the meal was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. There is plenty of space between tables making it a very comfortable restaurant to dine at. Plenty of off street parking too. I would have to say that this is the best dining venue I have found in Warwick
I stay here for the motel and for this restaurant. Very classy inside with a nice bar and fire. Meals are high quality and I get the best steak ever here. Licenced. Great staff. No chips and burgers here just quality meals. Mains in the $25 up range but a fair serve and well prepared.
