We had a very nice family dinner in Meat and View on friday evening. The restaurant is toptop, with a nice location and beautiful ambience in the old city of Murten. Getting a table close to the window(which can be open during a nice summer afternoon) is a fairy tale: the view on the lake is purely amazing. Especially it is fascinating during the sunset. But the most important and the best is the food and wine of course! You definitely need to try the tartar which is the best in Murten, and generally the meat menu is superb! Beautiful restaurant, great view of the lake. Incredible service. Our waiter spoke enough English to help us through the menu and answer all our questions. He was also diligent and caring throughout. The food was amazing. We started with two different types of tartars. They were each unique and delicious. They also came with fries that were also excellent. We than had their steak, which was served over a hot flame and came with two different sauces. It was outstanding. We also had an excellent salad and a desert. Throughout we had their excellent local wines, all made about a mile away. An amazing experience. One of our best meals ever.
We came here for lunch after taking our daughters to the Papiliorama in the morning. We had a lovely lunch with a perfect view and an unbelievable service!!! Everything was perfect. So thank you : I definitely recommend trying their tartares, but more specifically if you’ve never had it before, the cerf or chevreuil tartares which are part of their specialities. We also had a beautiful charcuterie hunting platter, so yummy! The staff speak perfect french. There is parking (paid just out front. And the view over Murtensee is breathtaking. And if you have time to take a tour of Murten, looks like a super cute town.
We were met by an elegant english speaking lady who seemed to know what we were looking for. Namely a good place to sit by the window and a view over the lake and something good to eat. My husband had an excellent rind fillet while I chose a plate of Sophia Loren Petite as I just recently read her autobiography and what a joy. With it I enjoyed Pinot Noir BIO Guillod. My partner and I are definitely some meat lovers!!! We’ve enjoyed the delicious homemade Tartar and the lamb côtelette! Very Tasty, fresh meat and delicious garnitures. We had the chance to have a table by the window to enjoy the view. What a gorgeous place! Thank you Meat View for this very great dinner.
Good restaurant, efficient owner and nice waiters. Boeuf tartare was very good. You select your own dressing on a multiple choice bloc notes... Stunning view of a beautiful sunset on the lake. We definitely enjoyed our dinner!
Very tasty tartare! An interesting menu, with the possibility of choosing ingredients and components. An incredible view of the mountain range. Polite, friendly staff!
