Truly a little hidden treasure down town! The daily specials are affordable and delicious with just the right amount of food : I had the fried chicken dinner with 3 sides greens were tasty mac and cheese was light and rice delicious. Husband got the bbq never had anything like it crispy ends with hunts of sweetness yummy! Waitresses were also attentive friendly and inviting! Come check them out!
Don't let the decor deter you! This small old school diner is great! The small town feel takes you back! The food was awesome and the waitress was super friendly and attentive. Even the water is delish ! Highly recommend visiting this cozy spot in downtown Raleigh!
I had a breakfast of country ham, 2 scrambled eggs, grits, and toast, with coffee. The food was excellent! The staff was also friendly, polite, and helpful. I don't get downtown much, but I'll be sure to eat there from now on when I do!
The best biscuits I think I have ever had. It’s affordable, quick and very yummy! Got the ham and egg biscuit with a side of hash browns. My friend got grits that she said were also delicious. Will go back again. Reserva una mesa ahora
UNC channel featured The Mecca Saturday morning. I had to go to Raleigh and check it out. Awesome food but portion size not large enough for such good food. Great old time feel. Will definitely go back
This place is great, it's like stepping back in time to the 40's. He food is like a home cooked meal and the staff are so nice. Love it!
