I visited Meglisalp in August 2013 with a friend and stayed overnight in a very nice newly renovated room. We enjoyed eating there 3 times, lunch, dinner and breakfast included in the price of the room. Who would expect such a culinary jewel to be torn up in the Swiss mountains?! The meals were not only good, they were brilliant, amazing and in an atmosphere that is unmatched! Don't miss the Alps, an evening prayer that is spoken out every evening. You'll be a little closer to heaven!
for the first time I experienced the alpstein and especially the meglisalp. I was thrilled all around, very good food, with very friendly hospitality, in a cozy atmosphere. the rooms are clean and sufficient. would describe it small jewel in the middle of the mountain....usually prayed.
after a long hike from meadow bath over the marwees down to the meglisalp we were glad to eat something delicious. never experienced a more friendly service in a mountain inn! a wallisserin pampered us! so we were able to strengthen and gladly continue.

After 2.5 hours of walking we thought of a quick lunch. To my surprise, the food was so delicious. The soup was excellent! I'd go back there if the restaurant was in town!
