If you're looking for Chinese food in Helensvale Shopping Centre, this place is worth a try. However, there are some negatives to consider. They only accept cash, which can be inconvenient in this day and age. The staff have limited English skills and can come across as rude. They also tend to overcrowd your plate when serving. As it was fathers day today I decided to take Zdravko out for lunch. We decided to give Mekong 3 Chinese a try as it has been a while since we ate Chinese. As it is self serving we choose the large plate for $11.90 each. We choose, fried rice,Singapore noodles, spring rolls ( 2 per person only ),chicken in plum sauce,steak in black bean sauce and stir fried vegetables. We had trouble finishing our plates. Mimi at the counter was very nice and polite and the counter spotless, will be back again.

Wouldn't recommend this place, food looks like its been sitting there all day. The rice was yuck, the only thing that was ok was the chicken wings. All in all dont think food should be left in the open, ppl can breathe or cough over it or even flies. Should have windows right around and the staff to serve

I havent tried all the shops but I was disappointed with Mekong the food was just warm and not much variety in the way of dishes. We enjoyed what we had but will try the others next time

Such a great variety of chinese food to choose from. I love the fact that you can have a bit of each. The taste is sensational.
During our visit, we noticed that one of the employees was frequently eating food and picking at dishes.
