Melin Vietnamese and Chinese Restaurant

Waited nearly an hour for a takeaway and the food was average. The staff, Monica was friendly and told my mum to get a shopping bag for the food. After a long wait, mum saw that Monica put food in her bag and thought our...food is finally ready but Monica told her it isn’t our order. A few moments later a guy walked out with our coles bag... but of course we didn’t know it was ours. Later when our food was finally done, Monica once again asked for a bag. Which she gave away. She blamed it on the staff that was in the kitchen and gave us plastic bags for our food. I know a coles bag isn’t worth much but the dishonesty and careless make me never want to come back.

My partner and I were extremely lucky to come across this restaurant. We are regular customers and Monica always welcomes us with warmth and joy. She even knows our usual order as soon as we walk in! This just goes to show how well she takes care of her customers. The food here is outstanding! The stir-fried egg noodle is especially delicious. Kim is a fantastic chef and the seafood combination is exceptional. The squid is not chewy at all – it simply melts in your mouth. The satay sauce is amazing! I always ask for some in my egg noodles. It's a winning combination! This restaurant has become our favorite spot. We have no regrets about it at all!

Dined in with my folks and sister. Not only was there not a single complaint, everyone was completely impressed by every aspect of our visit to Melin. Our hostess Monica was incredible in her ability to be seemingly everywhere at once and always with her...trademark smile and good humour. No request was too much effort, our drinks never dry and then tbere,s the food itself.. on all entrees and mains. Special Fried rice the best, we all agree, that we,ve seen in many a restaurant. Go for it.

Step inside for a pleasant surprise . From making the booking to paying the Bill the customer service from Monica and Richard (one of the Chefs) was excellent as was the food. Fresh ingredients with no additives like MSG and everything made on the premises...from the cut puffs, dim sims, and spring rolls .We ordered from the specials board Stir fried prawns and scallops cooked to perfection . Service a little overpowering with invitations to purchase more and more off the menu. Meals took some time to arrive but the servings were generous and palatable, The Chinese beef stir fry was over sauced and gluggy. It has a quiet and cosy ambience and...if you are not expecting absolutely delicious Asian fare it provides a filling satisfying meal.

I absolutely love the food at this restaurant. When I return to Australia in October, the first place I will visit to eat is here. Without a doubt, this is the best pho I have ever tasted. The service is exceptional and the owners are delightful. You must try this place - it will quickly become your new favorite spot.

My partner and I have been going to Melin for years as have our friends who shared a meal with us there tonight. The food was fresh and tasty and cooked to perfection with crunchy vegetables. I love the food, I love the prices and I love the service....it is all 2nd to none. This is the only restaurant I know that sends a text message to let you know your phone order is ready!
