After a long day at Treguennec beach (which if you like huge fine sanded beaches you must visit) we were looking for a place to eat with 3 hungry children and 2 hungry adults. We actually drove Penmarch and had passed this place on the way, it looked busy. Finding nothing obvious in Penmarch we headed back. We were right it was busy we got there at 8:15 and no seats were available inside, so we had to sit outside. This was fine if a little cold, those Brittany evenings are not that warm even in Summer. There was a good selection on the menu though to choose from and the only issue we had was in our order. We were positive because we confirmed things just to be sure that we had two cheese omelettes and one ham and cheese along with other main courses. However what turned up was two ham and cheese omelettes and no just cheese versions. It did cause some issues and a bit of upset from the waiting staff but vegetarians would tend not to have a cheese omlette. Anyway we did finally get things sorted and the quality of the food more than made up for this. It can't be faulted in anyway we also tried the local sausage and the pork and it was fantastic. Washed down with cider and followed by crepes you could see why the place was so busy. While we were there big groups were arriving at gone 9pm.Anyway apart from Omelette gate well worth going to :) And that is us sat outside in the picture.

Arrived for an evening meal but were not exactly made to feel welcome. The owner is rude and gruff and was infinitely more interested in French & Dutch than us English (although we are fluent French speakers). The crepes were greasy and when I asked for a filling which was only 1 part of a two filling crepe I was treated with disdain and comments in the kitchen. We will most definitely not be returning here as there are lots more appetising restaurants nearby which are also much cheaper. Also the cider was poured into a jug without any identification and tasted as though it was brewed in the back yard that afternoon.

Clearly a victim of their own success , they can afford to turn people away when they have spare tables. It would seem that having 2 children and an elderly person wasn't the kind of clientele they were looking for at 1.30pm.When asked if they could recommend anywhere else they told us that there are plenty of other creperies and that we just needed to look around for ourselves.....It was hot and stuffy inside, so didn't bother to try to negotiate. It's true that Britanny isn't short of good creperies, and we did indeed find another one not far away which was very nice and Friendly!

We visited here without a reservation and they went to the trouble of fitting us in, which we were grateful for. The crepes were some of the best we have had in France - delicious. It seemed very popular with locals and had a cosy feel inside, as well as lots of information about local traditions. Thank you!
