Mercato Deluxe - Reservar una mesa

Booked this restaurant before travelling, as there were 8 in our party and we weren't sure how many would be open on Good Friday. Picked it from all the positive reviews it has received and am pleased to say we were not disappointed. The food was excellent with large portion which were very hot and tasty. We did have to wait a while for the food but it was well worth waiting for and if you order bread and oil etc. to start, it keeps you going until the meal arrives. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, which made our visit even more enjoyable. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cologne.

Just randomly picked a restaurant near our hotel and it is surprisingly good! Although they don't have an English menu, the waiters are so friendly they even help to translate everything we want to know. We had the goats cheese and mango ravioli and seafood tagliatelle with seafood, both are pleasant! The waitress also recommend a local Cologne beer, which is nice to try as our first visit to Cologne.Very good in general, Sehr Gut!!! Highly recommended.

I'd heard good reviews from friends, but I wasn't impressed. The friends I was with said their food was good, but my ravioli was pretty slimey. It tasted much more like maultaschen. Other than that the service was poor. We all agreed on that. We were mostly ignored. Perhaps it was just an off night. I'd like to think so.

Friendly, nice atmosphere, delicious food, a place where they care. BTW, no WiFi so you must care about your partner and the dinner instead of watching your phone. :)

Enjoyed the food and wine. Service was a bit slow but think they were very busy for a Tuesday night. Would recommend.
