Merivale Noodle House

Friends had told us about this very pleasant Vietnamese eatery and we visited it for the first time tonight. The establishment was pleasant enough. Service was good. It is not easy to find good Hainan Chicken Rice outside of Singapore: what we had tonight was good enough. Our friends had a variety of noodle in soups and BBQ pork rice. The BBQ pork was charred and not that tasty. But the noodle soups were good. The menu was extensive. We also sampled some vegetable dishes: cannot really rave above them. All in all it was satisfactory and worth another visit may be for lunch.

My husband and I went to Merivale Noodle House for vermicelli bowls. We were very pleased with the BBQ beef and BBQ chicken bowls. They came with lots of meat, it was nicely seasoned, overall the dish tasted fresh and was exactly what we wanted for a quick casual dinner out. We found the price reasonable as well, for the two of us with an order of spring rolls it came to $27 after tax (before tip). They also served us a hot pot of green tea when we were seated which was a nice touch. Service was quick but we didn't feel rushed, we will definitely be back!!

If you're in the neighbourhood and have a desperate craving for Vietnamese food, I guess you could try this place. Otherwise, Chinatown has way better options.I had the banh cuon (steamed rice rolls), which was a bit thick and bland, and a vermicelli with beef and shrimp. The beef is not bad; shrimp was a bit overcooked and bland; and vermicelli was too soft and has no texture at all. The portion is pretty big but the price is more expensive than Chinatown.

This resto is next to the subway on merivale (near DQ). It use to be a sushi place. Decor is nice and it's clean inside. Service is good too, they've had several waiters both times we were there. Portions are quite big compared to pho thi. The bun bo hue is quite good and the pho broth is also very tasty. On a whim we dropped in at the Merivale Noodle House and we were pleasantly surprised. The seafood pho soup was served with a nice variety of fresh seafood. The rice and BBQ pork was outstanding. Service was efficient and pleasant and the owner/manager dropped by to make sure we enjoyed our lunch. We'll definitely be back

I have eaten here twice now and both times have been excellent. I had the shrimp wonton with rice noodle pho. The wontons appeared to be hand made and were very tasty.The pho nice and hot. Service was prompt and professional. The interior neat and clean.I would not hesitate to recommend this to family and friends

Visited the Merivale Noodle House for lunch recently and was very pleasantly surprised. Modern and sleek Asian decor, very pleasant serving staff and excellent Viet Nam cuisine. Mr. Chen the owner dropped by to inquire how our meal was. Highly recommended! Will return.

Wanted Pho, and enjoyed our lunch, mild flavours but filling Service was great. Restaurant was bright and clean.
