We were extremely disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. Our family, including elderly relatives and young grandchildren, had to wait in the cold and rain for a table. This was particularly challenging for our elderly relative with mobility issues. While waiting, the children needed to use the restroom, but it was not easily accessible. Once seated, we were reprimanded for a common practice of sanitizing the menus with our own wipes due to Covid-19 concerns. The menus were also dirty. The children's sandwiches and juice were of poor quality, and the tea and cakes we ordered were cold and unenjoyable. Don’t often review, but the staff were so lovely and helpful thought it deserved one. My daughter is coeliac so headed here after seeing lots of recommendations on a GF FB group. She’s 8, and it’s very rare that you see GF children’s options. There were probably 4 that she could chose from on the children’s menu which was brilliant. All 6 of us that went were very pleased with our lunches, and bought cake to take away (amazing selection! , plus a GF piece for my daughter. Very polite and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. And nice surroundings too. We’ll definitely be returning on our next trip to Great Yarmouth.

We arrived when the restaurant wasn’t that busy and ordered gluten free scones. These were small and has to be defrosted. They were dry and didn’t taste of anything. I got asked three times whether I wanted to visit their ‘cocktail shack’ on the side of the building which looked like it was decorated by a 16 year olds. No one bought anything from the shack the whole time we were there a so I wasn’t going to. When we were trying to eat outside an old man attending the dying flowers surrounding the outside area kept brushing brushing past us as he walked by. We only wanted to be left alone. Overall it was a poor experience

Amazing food friendly staff good value for money nothing to much trouble I return here every year Chris and all the staff so welcoming it feels like have a meal with family The cocktail bar has just opened and has an amazing choice also on Wednesday night there is a live singer as the fire works have started Can’t get enough of this place Reserva una mesa ahora

Reasonably priced ,good portions ,nice surroundings and excellent cakes very pleasant staff. I had all day breakfast which was decent and filling if a little heavy on the baked beans kids meals were a decent size and tasty. Very much a small step back in time to a more traditional tea room

I visited this restaurant for tea and cake, both of which were delicious. The staff were friendly to chat with, and I even had the opportunity to see a group of Sparrows up close, which was a wonderful experience. I plan on returning soon to try out their hot dishes.

I visited this restaurant during the October school holidays while on vacation in the area. There were plenty of seating options both inside and outside. The cakes were absolutely delicious.

Lots of gluten free options and good food. Sitting outside is nice if you don’t mind the rather tame sparrows They particularly like the peas.

Lovely place, lovely food well worth a visit. Friendly service and a lovely selection of cream cakes and a very nice cup of tea.
