Mery Lou - Reservar una mesa

After reading most other reviews we were expecting something special, especially for the menu price of €23. The menu was limited and more than half of the dishes incurred a supplement. The food we had was ok, but no more, and portion size fairly small. Desserts were below average and you only get a glass of wine included with the meal. We had a bottle between 3 of us and were charged extra. Having tried numerous restaurants in l'escala I am afraid this is bottom of our list.

An Easter Sunday treat was turned into a disappointment. Four dishes from the menu were not available, despite having booked for 2.30 lunch. This left a very limited choice considering the price. Considerable Supplements applied to the only fish dishes remaining. 2 from 3 desert choices were simply prepackaged yoghurt or ice cream. This is not an acceptable effort. Will not be rushing to return.

We went here again a few weeks ago for the 3rd time. We had wonderful fish and seafood, pasta and wine. The menu at 25 euros is great value with drinks and dessert included. The major draw here though is the outside garden space and the people who run it, who remembered us from the year before and are welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. A real hidden gem.

This is a reasonable restaurant which we would not rush back to you. The welcome was not very friendly and the food was ok but only average at best. The restuarant is clean but service was not good. The prices are ok and there are specials available which you may be best going for as these will be fresh.

Excellent and creative menu, with a sound catalan and traditional culinary base on most dishes.service and treat was great, with Mary at front of restaurant. Waiter was excellent and the cooker, Lou, too.
