Wonderful home cooked authentic Spanish food. Family owned and run. Service always incredibly warm and welcoming and prices very reasonable. Many things available in tapas or half portions which is great as you can try more dishes. Extensive menu of traditional tapas such as russe, black pudding and scrambled eggs, tomato and mozzarella, cheese in olive oil, meatballs, anchovies in vinegar home made) chorizo- a long list for about 2 euros. There are also main course such as Iberian pork, pork cheek which falls apart it is so tender and tastes incredible) daily fish specials fresh from Estepona market the rosado was the best fish I have every tasted) clams prawns pil pil. A long list of lovely food and all warmly presented by Maria and Maximo. The wine is great quality they have barbadilla) and very well priced. We have spent many an afternoon sharing a bottle and picking at these wonderful tapas.
Always excellent food and a warm welcome. Great taditional tapas on the general menu and some really excellent specials. Have had some really special crquetas with asparagus and with pork cheek. Tuna and onions just delicious and the paella portion on Sunday is fabulous and great value at just 5 euros. We have it with the prawns pil pil for a lovely combo. Prawns pil pil are also some of the best spicy sizzling and very flavoursome
Apart from very poor quality food, cold meatballs served with rice stuck together from microwave, bread I didn’t ask for after waiting an age to receive it, the service was incredibly rude. Not only was I ignored while waiting to be served, the member of staff served someone standing directly behind me first. Just appalling. No wonder it isn’t busy. Shockingly bad. Don’t go.
This is a great little restaurant with a wide range of well priced tapas and Spanish dishes. We particularly loved the fresh fish of the day I think it was haddock) which was grilled with a little garlic. Tremendously fresh and succulent. Clams and Anchovies in vinegar were also delicious
