Went with a party of 6 from work, which they were able to accomodate well. I went in expecting to order the jaegerschnitzel, but went for the schnitzel with egg on top, which I thouroughly enjoyed. The roasted potatoes were excellent as well. After dinner they offered a beverage (shot) of schwarze Sau, which none of us had tried before. It was ouzo after pumping iron, so if you don't enjoy the anise/liquorice flavour, stay away. Warning, they do not accept credit cards.
Three of us went to dinner. Everyone had another carving. The Jader Snitzel was the beat. The carving was fried into a cripple and covered with a severity. DELICOUS! I had a scavenger with blue cheese. It was good, but rather dry. I should have asked for Senf. We all had the fried potatoes. You were well done!
The restaurant is not large, but it is cosy and decorated with some interesting articles. The food was good, and the service friendly. Note that it also has a small bar area in it as well, and you might wish to sit away from it's line of sight if you are not a local.
Pleasant bar restaurant with surprisingly good local food. It is conveniently situzted just around the corner from the Ramada Widukund. Opposite is one of the 50 most beautiful bookshops in Europe ... if you have time to browse. Reserva una mesa ahora

On a recent visit to Stade friends decided on a late evening dinner at the Messerschmiede. The service was excellent and friendly. Food was excellent and generous. Definitely worth a visit.
