That was the first time for us. We arrived at 1:30 and it was still pretty busy. We sat right away and took our orders. We tried the shrimps and grits, with loose grits, not the standard frits grit patties, and the chicken channels. The shrimps and grits were delicious with a hearty serving. It had paprika, sausage, 6 shrimps, cheese and onions. It was quite delicious and the shrimps were perfectly cooked. The chicken pliers were huge and the bread was good, but a little thick for our pleasure. The fries were average and the potatoes and the severity were too salty on the edge. The place began to thin at 2:30 so that would be a good time if you wanted to try it without waiting. We will definitely return. We noticed that their sandwiches were huge and looked delicious like the chicken and waffles. Enter it, you will not be disappointed!
Food is good, but I felt like it could 've been great if it wasn 't so crowded. I guess a Quality/Quantity type of thing. Our waitress Dallas was amazing and very Attentive! Though the food was overcooked, it came out pretty fast. I 'd been waiting to go here a while, first impression not that great (food wise). Edit : Not to be rude at all. But most people wouldn 't have sent it that way. So it 's not necessarily on me to tell a chef the toast or bacon is overcooked. When by observation of others, theirs hasn 't been prepared that way. As I stated, I feel like it was because of the morning rush and I 'm understanding of that. I hope that when I come at another time you do prepare something that I will love. I can definitely see why they have posted on the wall.... This is where the locals eat. This place is probably the best breakfast place you 're going to find anywhere around. And the service was very fast and very friendly. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was absolutely loaded with sausage and tasted like it was made from scratch.
We really wanted to like this place more than we did. The food was generally under season, the waffle came with hard, non-soft butter? and our waitress had a hard time finding hot syrup (she broke one of her syrup dispensers the day before). While the food was unimpressed, our waitress was very good? attentive and friendly.
