It was my birthday not so long ago and I was craving raclette.... which brought us to Meule et Caquelon. Reservations are highly recommended especially for their special nights (check their menu for weekly specials). The restaurant is pretty big and can accommodate for groups. It has the swiss Alps mark all over it, featuring wood and 'traditional ' costumes for the staff. Each table comes with its own exhaust fan, which is not a luxury considering you fundamentally cook/grill everything at your table. Food was fresh and portions were good, from the meats to the vegetables, bread, sauces and cheeses of course. We had a great time and our waiter was super friendly. We will go back for an actu...
Delicious! When my friends suggested this restaurant for dinner, I was a bit hesitant. However, it turned out to be a fantastic experience! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was charming, complete with staff dressed in traditional Swiss attire. We ordered the three-fondue set, which was both delicious and satisfying. As someone who is sensitive to salt, I was pleased to find that the food was perfectly seasoned and not overly salty. The only downside was that the restaurant was somewhat hard to find at night, as it was located in a strip mall and the sign was a little faded. That said, I would definitely return and happily recommend it to others!
Wonderful meal! They brought us out a salad to start with and honestly the homemade sauce was the best dressing I've ever had on a salad. We had the La Raclette meal and the fondue. Our server recommended a very nice fruity cocktail made with a fruit beer and it was delicious! It was fun to grill our own meats and veggies to our preferences. The staff and owner were very helpful and gave an explanation on how to enjoy our meal with the spices and sauces provided. Wish we had something in the states like this. Definitely a must if you are in the area.
I took my family out for a laid-back birthday dinner, and we had a wonderful time! We ordered the cheese fondue package, which came with bread, as well as the Chinese fondue featuring beef, broccoli, onions, and potatoes, and finished off with the dark chocolate fondue served with mixed fruits. I was particularly impressed with the generous portion of meat. The service was excellent, with no rush whatsoever, allowing us to fully savor each fondue course. Staff is polite and efficient, everything is clean, the food is marvelous and unlike anything else in thr region. We have especially loved their Cheese fondue! They also have a nicely curated selection of beer from around the world. Very much worth a visit, we have been going for the last 15 years and we will keep eating there :
Very welcoming! The lady who was serving us is bilingual. She is very helpful as it was our first time to try cheese fondue, raclette and valais. We ordered a little bit of everything. The owner is very friendly. He told us the business is already in its 26th years. For sure will go back.
