Mexico Lindo - Reservar una mesa

I had the opportunity to dine here recently. It was disappointing to say the least. I ordered the guacamole, it was served in a cut halved cardboard takeout container? It was tasteless and the presentation even worse! Guacamole recipe, mashed avocado, diced seeded tomato, diced white onion, healthy pinch of sea salt, white pepper and a generous squeeze of lime! Should a Mexican restaurant not know the simplicity of a decent guacamole? It was accompanied by chips that resembled cardboard, hard, not seasoned and a teaspoon of red sauce No salsa! I was really let down by this restaurant despite its 4.4 star rating. We spent $70 on two orders of tacos, guacamole, and a beer. To add insult to injury, there was a random $7.25 fee that I didn't notice until after I paid (unless they charge $7 for water). The only thing that tasted homemade was the guac; everything else seemed store-bought. You could easily make better tacos at home for $30 and feed a group of five. I'm puzzled by the high rating, perhaps it used to be better. Prices have gone up based on older menus I found online. I suggest trying a food truck for better Mexican food. I was hoping to find a new favorite Mexican spot, but I left disappointed.

2nd time I have been here and food is out of this world. Authentic as you can get without going to Mexico. The restaurant could use a makeover and more space to store their groceries , but apart from esthetics.....the service, the staff, everything couldn 't be any better!!!!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Durham! It's a lively spot with fantastic food and service. The chimichangas are a must-try dish for me - they're so delicious! Plus, there are plenty of freebies.

The food is amazing here. Everyone enjoyed their food. Their beans is really tasty. The only thing I didn't like was their cocktails, It was as if its just juice. Overall, pretty good place to eat.

This hidden gem in Ajax offers delicious Mexican comfort food. Everything on the menu is amazing. The fried ice cream is a bit small, but if they have it, the tres leche is a must-try.

This place offers dishes that you cannot get at other places that have burritos, or tacos Yummy food and a nice selection of non alcoholic beverages. The servers are always helpful.

Loved the taco salad at Mexico Lindo. However, with the exception of the taco bowl, it would be nice if they increased the portions, I was still hungry after my meal.

This restaurant is mediocre. When you walk in, it feels a bit dull, but you're hoping for something authentic. The complimentary chips and salsa are a nice touch.

The food is not worth the high prices charged at this restaurant. The fries are the only standout item, while the interior is dimly lit and dusty.
