I must confess that I have recently joined the owner's family, but I can honestly say that I've never had a dish prepared by Chef Todd Johnson that wasn't exceptional! If you had a poor experience with service or food in the past, I encourage you to give them another chance. The Mezzanine truly is the best!
We first visited Mezzanine on behalf of Groupon and have been back several times. Much like many midtown locations, the space is cozy and dark. The food was quite good and the my wife enjoyed the steak very much. I hope they continue to have a thriving business!
The food was fantastic! I started with the pork belly taco as an appetizer and had the yellowfin tuna for dinner, both of which were excellent. It is slightly pricier compared to other options in Richmond, but definitely worth a visit.

"Best Hot Dog I've had since i left NYC. Fat, juicy and perfectly spiced. Amazing Sauerkraut as well. Chicken grilled pita and another chicken sandwich were outstanding. Really good meal enjoyed by all."
