Mi Balconcito Latin Grill

I went out for lunch today, Sunday. While we were waiting, the waitress informed a gentleman at another table that they were out of carne frita (fried pork chunks), despite it being on the menu. Just a minute later, she came back to say that they actually had enough for his order. I ordered Mofongo with shrimp, while my husband chose carne frita with Mofongo. However, not long after, the waitress returned to tell me that there were no shrimp available because they were still waiting for a delivery. I looked over at my husband, who suggested we should leave. If they didn't have shrimp to prepare and only had enough pork for the other customer's order, what else might they be out of? I visited Mi Balconcito Latin Grill this weekend and tried the mofongo with churrasco (steak) along with their alcapurrias. I absolutely loved both—they were the best I've had in town. The only downside was the outdoor music, which could be improved, but overall, the food was excellent.

This restaurant is now under new ownership, which I've learned about. That might explain why it wasn't busy when I visited. I think it's worth giving it another chance; with a solid marketing strategy, it could attract more customers.

I absolutely loved it! Saturday night was fantastic, with live Latin music adding to the atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the food was even better! The Mofongo is simply the best!

What a wonderful hidden gem! They offer the most delicious seafood mofongo and homemade sangria. The view is stunning as well! I will definitely be returning here regularly.
