The quinoa salad deserves a perfect 5/5 – the combination of fresh, juicy cranberries with greens and corn salad made it standout. The pollo a lo pobre was rated 4/5; it was very tasty, and the accompanying plantains were a delightful touch. Southeast Asian diners might recognize the plantains as being quite similar to their local “pisang goreng,” though without the crust.
The arroz con pollito was simply perfect, earning a 5/5. The cilantro-infused rice paired perfectly with succulent chicken and Peruvian corn. The grilled steak received a 3.5/5; it was well-cooked, but a bit too fatty for my taste.
As for the Cusqueña beer, I’d give it a 4/5. It has a flavor reminiscent of India’s Kingfi...
