call them and get them directions. this place is not where google maps tell them it is and it has no big sign. Once they've settled in their seats, they'll notice that the menu is pretty small. it's defocused. for our group, that was a good thing....(We had our first pommes de terre sarladaises here a person said that the kartoffels are just a vessel for the dee fat there is a small wine list, especially from the region bergerac. these weeps would be as famous as the Bordeaux vintages if bordeaux had not reserved its harbour for weine before place; they are all as good as Bordeaux wines. the owner is very attentive, speaks no English. good of us, as we had several French speakers, but do not...

Ferme Lacombe was an unexpected discovery while driving through the Dordogne. It is an unassuming, small and very homely restaurant but it serves the best canard confit and pommes de terres salardaises! It was a truly delicious meal and SO satisfying. We could hear Madame...in the kitchen working away and she popped her head out every so often to converse with the (mainly French customers always a good sign) and then the food arrived. The duck was moist and tasty and large enough to satisfy even my husband's large appetite and the potatoes cooked in the local style (in duck fat) were superb. It was a great meal (with a salad on the side) made from their own farm produce and cooked in the ver...

If you are looking for fresh local foie gras and duck you cannot do better than Michel Lacombe. This simple auberge is literally across from his small farm. He and his wife raise the ducks and geese and she cooks simple meals that let the...natural and delicious flavors shine. Caution google maps have the coordinates completely wrong, best to call ahead for directions or look on a local map for the address.

amazing local kitchen that means duck in all possible formats with melt in mouth sarlat kartoffeln. the menus start and even the most expensive is only with a drink with the starter. child menus are either or options in each. ours have just what we had in smaller portions and they loved it too. we are booked to go back in two days when it is so good. book them before or make sure they are

The owners do everything themselves including gardening their vegetables, raising their ducks, cooking and serving at the restaurant. It is high quality food, attentive service and an enjoyable relaxed atmosphere where you want to keep returning. Highly recommend it!!!!! Almost forgot to say something about...their dessert too : simply delicious!!!! Merci et a bientôt Doug, Marie Sammy

We eat here regularly and both the food and hospitality is consistently excellent and generous. This family run restaurant serves excellent local dishes with their own duck products featuring prominently on the menu. Therese Lacombe's pommes sarladais truly is to die for. Desserts are all...home cooked and seasonal. It is at Benives on the between Sarlat and Les Eyzies.
