To start I recommend the Lemon Artichoke soap. The soup has been on the menu since the day the restaurant opened. A wonderful combination of bitter ness balanced with a touch of paprika. Next you must have the "Seared Dayboay Sea Scallops", served with lobster Brie Mac and Cheese, asparagus and a white lobster cream sauce. Save room some room for jalapeño bread pudding. What a great lunch at Midtown Cafe. Food was outstanding only to be distracted with the construction next door. Building vibrating through the entire lunch. I know that Midtown has no control about this..but it was very unnerving. The Spinach Salad and Lemon Artichoke Soup was perfect. Enjoyed their most requested dish, Shrimp and Grits. Spicy and very enjoyable. The only thing that fell short were their biscuits....not the best.

Never had a bad meal here. Everything is excellent and the service is always top tier! And free valet! It’s our favorite restaurant in middle TN and we keep coming back. Personal favorites: shrimp and grits, chicken scallopini, elderflower blossom cocktail made with gin, coconut cake, lemon artichoke soup. But don’t stop there…the rest of the menu is awesome!
We were celebrating a very dear friend who passed away earlier this year. Midtown was one of her favorite places to dine. And ours too! I always enjoy the personable staff(they are all so kind, and have marvelous personalities) The food has never disappointed and it didn’t fail today. Mr. Randy Rayburn surely is happy and smiling in heaven.

Midtown Cafe is consistently excellent. I have never been disappointed with food or service. It is a gem among Nashville restaurants.
