As for the food quality, it was mediocre at best. There are definitely better options in Japantown. In fact, I’ve had superior Japanese meals prepared by teenagers at a food court in a mall. Now, back to the food review: they packed the fried items in airtight containers, which made them soggy by the time I got home. The pancake, fried vegetables, fried chicken, and octopus balls were all lackluster. They really should have made holes in the containers or left them open a bit to allow for ventilation. I decided to try sushi at this place after the restaurant I'd been recommended at the Japan Center was closed. I'm so glad I did! The sushi was incredible—honestly the best I've ever had. It tasted incredibly fresh and packed with flavor! I ordered a roll with scallops, and when I took a bite, it felt like the scallops just melted in my mouth. The rolls were a generous size, and the prices were reasonable. I eventually tried the restaurant I was originally recommended, but it didn't come close to this one! We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with excellent food and attentive service. However, I think we visited at a peak time, as it was extremely busy. My girlfriend and I went to Japantown craving Udon, but the wait was about two hours, especially on a rainy day. We ended up spending $50, which was quite filling. We ordered two bento boxes that came with miso soup and a side of seaweed salad. Everything was delicious and delightful. I opted for the salmon and chicken teriyaki, replacing the rice with a salad to stick to my no-carb diet. My girlfriend had the chicken katsu along with four pieces of fried tempura. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!

We went to this place on labor day and honestly it was a very bad experience. It took an hour to have my food ready (the place wasn’t that crowded) the food was not good, the edamame tasted like fish the roll was bad and the teriyaki chicken was bad as well. Kind of pricey for the quality I honestly don’t recommend this place.
I frequent this restaurant often because I work nearby. I really appreciate their excellent customer service and how well-organized the place is at all times. The prices are reasonable, and they offer generous portion sizes.
