We held a party at a local club for my husbands Birthday on Saturday night. It was decided instead of the normal buffet food we would like traditional fish and chips. My daughter contacted Mike and Pat, they were very accommodating. Some of our guests are vegetarians and we also had gluten free request. Nothing was too much trouble. The food arrived promptly at requested time. It was all piping hot and freshly made. All of our guests were very impressed with the high quality and perfectly cooked food. This isn’t my local, but as mine was closed it was the next best thing and I think it’s only fair I review them. It’s twice I’ve been here and most chippers can’t lift their heads to look at you in the eye. Mikes chippy and the team here were very accommodating, quick and friendly. The food wasn’t greasy or warm, but crispy and tasty. I recommend this chippy when you’ve had a hectic day and can’t be bothered cooking!

Tucked away a little down Wham Steet, near the Horse Jockey pub, Mikes Chippy is well worth a visit. They have the best pies in Heywood, especially the balti ones, I think they were the first in the town to do this type. Portions are always large the fish is always cooked fresh for you so worth the wait. So if it's traditional chippy food tasty speciality pies, look no further than Mike's, the best in Heywood. Ged

I've been coming to this chippy every week for years and it doesnt disappoint! Lovely friendly helpful staff who always make the effort. Fresh food, award winning fish and yummy curry! Had great fish and chips as a treat from micks chippy. Staff friendly always ask how you are. Big fish left some chips. Great team mick and pat best chippy for last 5 years I can remember
