Mikey Dubb’s Frozen Custard

I was very disappointed with my visit. The establishment was extremely dirty, with palm, hand, and fingerprints all over the display glass. The walls were in poor condition, and the seating area was quite unappealing. The floors were messy, with remnants of dried ice cream and sprinkles scattered everywhere. I've never encountered an ice cream shop in such a filthy state. I ordered mocha ice cream, but unfortunately, I couldn't taste any mocha flavor; it was just cold. On a positive note, the young lady and gentleman at the counter were very polite and helpful. It’s clear that a professional cleaning service is needed to improve the cleanliness of this place.

This place offers delicious custard and French ice cream, along with a wide variety of other treats such as donuts, Italian ice, ice cream cakes, shakes, and concretes. They have 12 custard flavors and 10 Italian ice flavors, including two vegan options. The flavors are unique, the prices are great (just $8 for three scoops), they allow sampling, and the portions are generous. There’s plenty of parking available and some outdoor seating options. Our favorites included the fluffernutter (peanut butter and marshmallow), blueberry cobbler, and chocolate blackout. We’re definitely coming back to try the concretes and their mix-in options!

During my visit to Harlem with a friend, I decided to stop by Mikey Dubbs, a place I had heard about for some time. I’m glad we did! It's not easy to find authentic custard on the East Coast, but this spot offers the real deal. The gentleman who served us was incredibly friendly and attentive; I assume he might be the owner given his professionalism and engaging demeanor. I would certainly return. The restaurant was busy, which is a good sign of quality. Plus, the prices were reasonable, especially considering the rising costs everywhere else. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Not only is this custard ice cream unique and unbelievably fresh, but the owner and his staff make every visit a pleasure. They were supremely responsible during the height of COVID, they're supportive of the community and they are kind and responsive to everyone who walks through the door. The staff is clearly well-trained and treated well, because they pass the kindness along. Most importantly, you'll find both flavors you hadn't even dreamed of (but become your new favorites! as well as the very best versions of old standards. Reserva una mesa ahora

Usually love this place, but just went in at 930ish (they close at 10). One worker was in the back breaking things down and cleaning, the other was helping the customers. About 10 minutes later, I ordered a milkshake for my daughter and was told I can 't, it 's already been broken down. I responded but you 're open for another 20 minutes?! He had no answer for me. Is it typical practice to clean things that early? Because it was done before I even walked in.

The ice cream is quite good, but the experience leaves much to be desired. The young employees seem put out to look up from their phones when a customer walks in, making you feel like an inconvenience every time you stop by to make a purchase. I would recommend finding a different place for ice cream.

The frozen custard is 5 stars but the kids working there would rather be somewhere else. Lousy customer service when they finally do acknowledge your presence while lamenting how bad it is that they have to be working there.
