Mill Inn Aldeburgh

Myself and my wife went walking from Thorpeness to Aldeburgh and back. The wind was very keen and cold. Following exploring the shops in Aldeburgh we turned to walk back to Thorpeness. From the outside the PH caught my attention with smoke exiting the chimneys and an Adnams sign outside. The thought of a pint of Southwold by an open fire got the better of me. Once inside it became apparent that this is a food led pub as the first questions from the guy behind the bar was 'were we ordering food and had we booked '? My answer of 'no ' didn 't seem to be the correct one, it was 12.04 pm (4 minutes since opening) and with only two other customers in the pub my thoughts of a quick warm by the fir...

wow! what an amazing discovery. they have looked at the reviews of this place, and they do not do it right! the ribs should come with a warning, they are huge for a whole rack! they see the picture, they have suspended the plate! lol. eating was fantastic for the other, rib-eye steak, steak-sizzler, surf and shave. all cooked to perfection. book on to avoid disappointment, as this place is amazing!

This is a basic pub located in a great spot near the beachfront. During my visit, I noticed that most customers were accompanied by dogs, so if you're not a fan of furry friends, you might want to steer clear. However, the selection of beers available is quite good.

we had lunch here as part of a day in suffolk. the service was helpful and very friendly. eating was great, especially the children's menu, which was a cut above the usual offer for children in pubs. really good quality and good size parts for our 3 small. Reserva una mesa ahora

this is by far my favourite audience to visit in all suffolk. I've been visiting from the states and eaten four times here. the semi-regal ribs are enormous and delicious! the host/witter is so friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.

fabulous eating, friendly and welcoming staff and a beautiful atmosphere in this charming pub. the heavenly and white chocolate brioche brot and butter pudding was beautiful

Had lovely food, very accommodating and service was attentive and personal. Will visit again..just be aware this a dog friendly pub if you are not!
