The food in the restaurant is consistently excellent as is the service. The Gnocchi is homemade, which is not always the case in Italian restaurants. The restaurant is comfortable and welcoming, however if their is a large children's party booked (which is often the case) i'd suggest you go somewhere else as it gets very noisy in this small space. The restaurant also offers a great takeaway menu with reasonable family deals. The only significant downside to this restaurant is how the indian/south asian takeaway manager or owner treats his takeaway staff, incredibly rude, short tempered and aggressive. Having bought in the area recently, my family and I decided to check out the local restaurant. We went there straight from working in the CBD, and hadn't booked a table. We we seated without issue, and the waiting staff were attentive, and well informed of the daily specials. The decor was inviting and warm, my wife and i ordered the salmon, and my son pasta. When my wife wanted alterations to her salmon, the staff were more than happy to accommodate.The pasta looked scrumptious and our salmon was cooked perfectly and delicious. We look forward to coming back, and as we move soon into the area, look forward to enjoying multiple visits to this restaurant.
Met with friends for dinner last Tuesday. We enjoyed our meals and had just finished our desserts . Unfortunately our evening was ruined when after dessert the kitchen started cleaning with bleach. The smell was so bad that we started wheezing and coughing and we were forced to leave. Surely that would be an OH&S issue to start cleaning with strong chemicals while customers are still present . It was one way to get rid of customers quickly so they could close up. Not impressed. It really put a dampener on the evening. Won't go back now
I went there with my parents, Cathleen and Jim on Wednesday night and I had the Eye Fillet Steak with Chips with the same thing to drink. My Mum had the same thing to eat and drink but she thought it was a bit salty, My Dad had the same thing to eat and drink as well. Cathleen and Jim ordered something as well and they really enjoyed there's as well

Mid week meal, arrived around 8.00 pm. Plenty of tables available. Service quick and professional. Waitress did not need to write order down which is a good sign of a waitress that knows her stuff. Food presented well. Tasty and not over the stop with garnishes.
We went as a party of 6 for dinner on a Tuesday night. The food was very good and everybody was pleased. The service was also very attentive. We were the last table of the night but didn't feel rushed. Overall fantastic!
Dinner for two with a glass of wine from the good wine list. Perfect at the end of a long week. Slow roasted lamb and the fish of the day barramundi were delicious. Good serving size too.
Pleasant meal with a good selection of options .Decor very good with friendly service! Thoroughly enjoyable, but recommend booking first as it can get busy.

We always enjoy our visits to Mimis. Great meeting point which our family always enjoys. Superb meals and great staff. Always meets expectations.
