My husband and I tried this place for the first time on Mother?s Day because we had heard such great things. We both have always had a good experience and great food at the original Dirty Oscar?s annex in Tacoma. They seemed a little understaffed but the staff was still very nice. The atmosphere was like a new age diner and appeared clean. We ordered 3 drinks, the Tatchos, the pulled pork (verde) Benedict, a side of French toast and a side of grits. Their menu looks amazing! Our meals had the right idea with lots of different flavors yet not very flavorful if that makes sense. The pulled pork on both of our meals was underwhelming. It wasn?t over cooked yet all you could taste was smokiness and no real seasoning. The French toast was some of the best French toast we?ve ever had and the grits were so so, kind of bland. The pricing is very reasonable, especially for the increase in food costs as of late. We hope to try this place again because their menu really does catch your eye but first impressions count and it was 3.5 star experience.
