Minos Cafe Bistrot

Being just around the corner for me, I've been to Minos literally dozens of times over the past 15 years or so and have only had one ordinary meal in that time. The menu is extensive (there's something for everyone here) and they have daily...specials. The portion sizes are usually pretty good so normally there's no need for a starter. Standout dishes for me are the lamb kebabs, the meat or seafood platter for two (although I'd like to see just a little more meat/seafood and maybe less chips) and the seafood risotto. There's a huge display cabinet with mainly Greek desserts and the coffee's good. Prices are very reasonable and service is always excellent. Recommended.

I have been to this restaurant several times before and have always found everything to be in order. However, today was a bit different. When I asked for a wine list, I was told that they do not serve any wine, even though wine glasses were hanging over the counter. The menu had changed since my last visit and was much more limited. I ordered the pork ribs, but was told they were out. Despite these issues, our food was delicious, with generous portions of pasta. Unfortunately, my dining experience was marred when I found a hair in my sauce after I had already eaten half of it. Overall, it was a strange dinner tonight.

At this cafe, we ordered coffee for the staff during work. When the girl asked me if I wanted a mocha, it was not a good start. She also informed me that the coffee might taste strange due to a problem with the machine. Unfortunately, the coffee ended up tasting like seawater. I would have been better off making it myself. The service was very rude and unprofessional, and they also charged us for the wrong order. Overall, we won't be returning to this cafe.

Enjoyed a peaceful lunch of focaccia and warm chicken salad, followed by coffee and a decadent chocolate ganache cake. There weren't many customers in the afternoon and street noise was minimal. It was a very relaxing and pleasant experience.

Quiet lunch - focaicia and warm chicken salad followed by coffee and decadent chocolate indulgence cake. All good. Not too many customers in mid afternoon and street noise not too bad. Very relaxing and enjoyable, Reserva una mesa ahora

Nice coffee but a lot of noise from the constant stream of traffic going by. It is a major road though, but patrons tend to talk loud to overcome traffic noise. Haven't eaten there for a while due to noise.
