it's just a 40 minutes bus ride from Huelva, so we came here for lunch, strolling along the beach and stopping here, as it was one of few places open on a Monday. the restaurant is big, good for families and groups, but there were not so many people at our visit. seated on the front line with a view on the large sandy beach and the sea, we had a nice lunch, nothing spectacular, but serious and for a reasonable price. starting with a big salad for two, two filled asparagus (yes, I did not even know one could fill them, but they were stuffed with fish! , and a shared plate of swordfish, one beer, two glasses of Verdejo white wine, two coffee... all for just 50 €. Good value for money, not a Michelin star, but solid.
Miramar es un restaurante en Punta Umbría, en la playa. Está abierto en verano pero en invierno sólo los días festivos. La comida en este restaurante es excelente, deliciosa y sabrosa. Los platos especiales de este restaurante son el pescado al horno y las patatas. En este restaurante su especialidad es todo lo que viene del mar. De entrada siempre te dan paté. Es un espacio grande y tranquilo pero con suficiente ambiente. Tiene unas preciosas vistas a la playa de Punta Umbría. Te recomiendo que vayas a este restaurante para almorzar o cenar, aquí puedes encontrar comida de muy calidad golf. Es un lugar al que puedes ir en familia o con amigos, a tomar una buena comida.
We’ve visited this place twice in our stay in Punta Umbría and we must say that we really enjoyed it both times. Their coquines are a must but then again we asked for several sea food dishes to share and they were all excellent. I would actually recommend asking several dishes to share so you have the chance to try more things than if you just ask for a main dish. The rations are pretty good in size and for my girlfriend and I with four dishes we had just enough to be able to ask for dessert and be completely filled up. I must also comment that the personnel is very friendly, helpful and good humored.
We went for dinner to this restaurant on a Friday evening. From what we gathered in May it is only open around the weekend. It's located on the beach which is nice. It's not much of a place with little atmosphere but I think that would change during the season. Excellent prawns for a starter followed by Sea Bass. Both top class
