I have been waiting to try Misako since I moved to Virginia Beach close to 6 months ago. The fact that they have both sushi and ramen drew me towards this place.Location is easy to access, but nothing that really brings you in. It's located in a strip mall off of Shore Drive with lots of parking. Inside, it is anime-themed, with lots of anime decor and memorabilia along with anime playing on the TV. Not my thing, but it was obvious that it is a reason other people frequent this establishment. We came in for a late lunch during the week on a Thursday. We planned ahead to avoid Wednesday because it is posted on their door that they don't offer sushi on Wednesdays. Very unfortunately, they appar...

Love this place. I have been coming to Misako for some time now and have yet to leave a review. So, here we go. I love their seafood ramen and red miso ramen, delicious. My go to dish is the Hong Kong Style Chajang Mein. It is a beautiful plate of noodles topped with sweet and spicy ground pork that is topped with green onions. There is also a generous serving of bok choy that is nestled on the side of the plate. This dish comes with small bowl of what I believe to be miso soup with a hint of sesame oil. Delicious. The description on the menu states that the dish is sweet and spicy, it is mostly sweet. I recently tried their fried rice with shrimp. That dish is big enough for two or three pe...

Misako is a small Japanese udon/ramen/sushi in the middle of town and my review really centers on the Yuzu Ramen, which I've seen before but have never tried. The Yuzu ramen is really nothing different than what you'd imagine. There's a lighter broth that's cut with a citric acidic taste, so nothing too surprising. I'd say that the flavors are solid and the noodles were cooked very well but it's not something I'd try again. As for the sushi, the rolls were solid and I would recommend it to anyone needing a Japanese fix. A solid 4/4

I went here for lunch last week with some coworkers. I wasn't a fan. I ordered chicken ramen and ended up just drinking the broth. I could have been just thinking about pho and that's why I didn't like it, either way my honest opinion the cheap bag ramen is better. The staff was extremely nice though!
