Billed in other reviews as the best restaurant in Redwood. Putting aside the fact the competition isn 't major I wouldn 't argue. The place is efficiently managed and the staff are attentive. I ordered the rack of lamb, but after taking my order I was informed it 'wouldn 't arrive until tomorrow '. As I didn 't bring my sleeping bag, I chose the double pork chop instead. Roast pork can be bland, and this was, having just been cooked in what I believe was barbecue sauce. And it was tough, which isn 't surprising as normal thickness pork chops can be tough if they 're rush cooked. Had our small wedding ceremony and reception at Mistral in Oct. They had the right amount of covered outdoor patio, and very good food when we sampled the menu. We are very happy with our choice. Gin, the manager, was hospitable and gave great ideas on how our big day could be laid out. The staff and service were amazing, and the food was great. There have been times in the past I felt I had attended a great wedding venue, but the food so-so. Luckily, Mistral isn’t in such a category. Every time we swung by to discuss on the setup, the restaurant’s busy, which speaks volumes to its reputation. Two thumbs up.
A truly great dining experience. Very nice atmosphere, not too loud, fine music. Jaques, our server, was always on top of things, but never rushing did was great. Grilled octopus, scallops and gulf shrimp, Phyllis wrapped salmon, and Bailey's bread pudding. A perfect evening. Thanks, Mistral
The restaurant is pretty. It's on the water and has a pleasant outdoor area. Service was very good with attentive but unobtrusive waitstaff. Sadly, the food was pretty mediocre. None of the dishes our group had were terrible; they just were not especially flavorful.

We went for a wedding. The service was great, the food was OK, and the space is good, but being next to the water I had higher expectations for the view. As this was a wedding the menu was likely reduced and simplified. Overall is a good restaurant.
Great food, had the rack of lamb which was cooked nicely with great savory flavor. Also has the scallops which was very good. Was a bit loud sitting in the patio area but was nice to be located by heat lamp and fireplace.
Quite literally one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. This is a must visit if you’re near Redwood Shores!
The restaurant has a really nice selection of dishes. We enjoyed the salads, onion soup, fish and steak. The place was fully booked, service was very kind but slow.

Mistral is an amazing little jewel you don't want to miss! Not only the outdoor terrace is a great one decorated with plants and flowers...
Great food and atmosphere. One of my new favorites. Must try the Bacon Bourbon.
