This was my first time tasting African cuisine and it was not bad I got the khati khati It wasn't something I would say I liked but was edible I mostly stuck to the chicken parts only it was a bit rough but thats from the way it's prepared I know that a normal thing...I also got the beef in some tomato and basil sauce now that was liked it a lot I just wish there was more beef in there and less basil leaves I feel like I ate a lot of sauce luckily I had fufu I use with that but flavor was great and the jollaf rice was good as well...I spent 60 bucks here wasn't a fan of that but you win some you loose some!!!..on that note if they added more beef in that stew the price wouldn't have been a c...
For my first time, I ordered to pickup spinach jollof rice suya. The représentative did not ask for my name and phone number (red flag). Pros: The food was ready on time The rice and spinach portions are quite generous No excess of oil as one would expect from African food Overall Taste 3.5 5 Cons No napkin or plastic ware (fork and spoon) provided (unacceptable) Mainly disappointed with the suya. Not enough quantity for the price, too much fatty pieces, also just too hard and dry. Not as tasty, tender and juicy as 3 nearby African competitors'. I plan to try the fish next time and decide whether I would keep Miya in my list.
Horrible service. I came here with my kids we were all very hungry but we knew it may take a while. Got here at 7:00 they did not take our order until 7:45 . The woman took our order and then at 8:07 they told us our food would not be ready until 8:30 and they closed at 9 they can make our order to go. So many times they could have communicated this we just left. Terrible Terrible service. Now I have to find some place to eat at almost 9 at night with two kids. I'm always trying to support local businesses.
