eat and drink excellent and good value (dinner and breakfast) beautiful ambiente in restaurant bar area. would go back to eat. the rooms are individually and very fully furnished, as far as it is not so easy to move around them! we were in the merlot room that has a tub and wash basin in the room, and a loo in a defined area, so if the private sphere is in contact, then check them before booking. it is a quiet place in a quiet village, but with good access. a star lacked because despite the height of the decoration it was difficult to shave (no electric point, and no plug for the wash basin,) the hahn stood rolled, and a picture had slipped in its frame small things, but details materie.
We called at around 5:15 pm for a late Sunday lunch and were able to secure the last available table at that time. Reservations are not accepted, so you may have to wait if a table is not available. We all opted for the beef Sunday lunch, which was delicious and came with generous portions of meat and vegetables. I decided to also try the cheese plate for dessert, which was also fantastic. Overall, this restaurant is a great choice for Sunday lunch, as well as for meals on other days and evenings.
we stopped yesterday for lunch (21/3/22) and were not disappointed. the server (I'm so sorry that I don't get their names) was brilliant. he was alone, but managed all very well, greeted everyone and was just beautiful. service was amazing. they would never know there was only one server! I'm usually not one to leave reviews, but I should let the roebuck know that their associates yesterday, along with the eating were fantastic.
Great little pub. Room was fantastic, large plant of space. Bed was really soft. Nice shower room. We had an evening meal and breakfast with them. The food was excellent quality and good portion size. The restaurant is small and dark but that is part of its charm. The staff were really friend. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going again.

more beautiful place to sit and have dinner, more beautiful little place away from the main street, so no car or something can hear. very nice eating. gluten-free options need improvement. not eating itself, but it is prep. all round amazing place to be.

This historical pub is a fantastic spot for a high-quality meal. Its popularity is clear from how packed it gets. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff are incredibly attentive.
Popped in for a coffee as we had some time to spare. Atmosphere and service were great even early morning. Fly intend to go back for dinner some time..

The home made steak and Woobbly Ale pie was fabulous, set in an olde worlde pub atmosphere,the salad served to my wife was very good too.
Enjoyed a special family meal here. Great service and wonderful food and atmosphere. Keen to return.
