Modavie - Reserva de mesa

Went on a very rainy day for Saturday lunch with kids, reservation made on the day before. All the reviews about ambience and how friendly they are are right on spot. Felt very comfy with kids, waiter checked on us multiple times in just the right way, and cocktail was delightful. Although it was pouring outside, the live jazz music somehow seemed to make even the rain feel fun. Lovely place.

My only experience of French food was in Paris prior to this experience and let me just say..the food is mediocre at best. Snails were cold and a little over cooked. Steak was slightly undercooked. However, service was great. Waiter was attentive. We were reimbursed for a dish we did not enjoy which was pleasant. Live music was great, set the tone for the ambiance but also very loud.

If you tell the restaurant you are coming there to celebrate a special occasion and the first thing the hostess tells you is that you have to be out in 2 hours that kind of spoils your mood right away! The service was very good, friendly with smile that helped. The food was good, nothing outstanding for the price.

Visitors from NY Here. I'm so glad I decided last night in town. Everything was absolutely perfect, from food to service (our server was amazing, I was THINK her name Corinne) to the musical artist who has to have access to my lifetime playlist. Would book another trip to Montreal just to eat at Modavie. We had the scallops and the garlic snails as appetizers, both were amazing. Shared the Filet Mignon and added fioe gras, it was exceptional. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the jazz band was spectacular.

We ordered 2 1/2 glasses of wine and the cost was $20 each. That equates to a $100 bottle of wine. We asked for 2 glasses of house wine. I don't believe $40 for a full glass is house. Get we got scammed

The food what outstandingly one of the best meals I've had foie Gras w/ Crème Brûlée) I most definitely would visit again.
