Would not recommend. We made a reservation for 2, 5 hours before we wanted the reservation. So noon for 5 pm arrival. Under “special requirements”, we requested to not be seated in the middle of the room, but would prefer a table on the side, if possible, by a window or a more quiet location. When we arrived, there was absolutely no one in the restaurant seated at any of the dining room tables, only patrons at the bar. The hostess sat us virtually right next to the hostess stand in front of the door. I asked if we could have one of the other tables over on the side, she consulted with another employee and came back and said “no I’m sorry, you’d be surprised how quickly this place will fill u...
very friendly staff and helpful waitress. time to sit and serve was good. I was just a bit away because the portions of some things were small but expensive. most of the dinge (gucamole, salsa, sour cream) come in 2 ounces plastic containers that are not full. chips and salsa were $5 for a ok plate of chips, but about enough salsa for two chips. I asked for extra salsa and got another little cup and it cost a dollar. an equal cup of acid cream was also a dollar and guacamole was $3. overall, eating was good, not real complaining there. but kintz with the seasoned.
The Modern Barn was such a pleasure! Far exceeded our expectations. The staff was fantastic, the owner was present and involved, and the food was incredible! Great place. Very friendly. Very clean. I ordered Chicken Marsala. It was delicious. Have enough for another meal. I advise you to make reservations. Definitely a return for me!!!!
