I cannot believe I have been a Voucher Virgin for such a long time! It’s so affordable, what was I thinking! On the voucher site, we decided to try Modern China, even though the reviews were not the best! But then we were informed that the restaurant now has new owners and the negative reviews were from the previous owners, so now they have their work cut out for them! And they are really doing a fabulous job of it! Have driven past this restaurant on numerous occasions, but never visited. Until today. I 'm always on the lookout for lunch options, and thought we would pop in for a taste. The exterior looks 'beige ' nothing that grabs your attention. Unfortunately the interior isn 't much of an improvement either, but it is very clean and neat. Came here for my belated Birthday with a friend.  The Restaurant was well set out and not over fussy.  The music was modern and good and not overly loud.  We had a Groupon Voucher so had a limited menu to choose from but having said that there was more than ample choices in each section and we could choose several items from each section.  The wine was a choice of house red or white.  The food was very yummy and plentiful but we did have to ask for a dish which had clearly been forgotten but this was soon brought out to us (would have given a higher rating except for this).  The Fried Rice was excellent.  The Restaurant was quite full on the night we came everyone looked like they enjoyed th...

Mains were good but entrees were a let down. My partner and I stumbled across this place last Saturday night. No booking was necessary and a waitress greeted us and swiftly got us seated. Ordered san choy bao and spring rolls for the entree and were completely disappointed. The 3 Vegetarian spring rolls were shorter than the length of my pinky and had hardly any filling and my partner felt they could've done better with the San choy bao which tasted like we could have made at home. Been here four times now. Every time has been excellent. They also did a very good job with a wine and food group. A great addition to the local area.<br/ <br/ 2019 Here again. Been regularly over the last few years. Often busy but tonight almost empty. <br/ <br/ This place is really good. As good as gouger street. Really should be more popular. Friendly attentive staff and food is YUMMY

Lovely looking restaurant inside and the staff were really nice and friendly. The size of the serves was amazing, we had so much left over we ended up taking home 4 full takeaway containers. Excellent food, really recommend giving this place a try.

The manager of the newly reopened restaurant and the new service provider was very young, but he was very friendly and polite. The food was excellent and the cook was excellent.

Takeaway acceptable for standard fare Chinese. Dine in menu looks more interesting I think take away menu catering for general western favorites.

Pretty good Chinese food overall, decent price range . The Claypot meat is a must try. Overall, 7/10 experience.
