But instead of the rare steak you requested, you'll receive it cooked medium well. The eggs you wanted cooked over medium will be overly runny, and the huevos rancheros will taste like it's straight from a can. I'll probably never find out which type of cow my filet mignon came from, but I suspect it was discovered near the train tracks by the restaurant. Drove down the Ortega Highway to San Juan Capistrano with friends. Came here due to the number of reviews on Google. Over thousand with a score of 4.5 . Service did not disappoint from the moment we arrived. Place was busy with customers. All the staff was friendly and engaging. Our drinks were constantly topped off. Our waitress was accomadating. This place is such a gem! We came from out of town and found Mollie's when looking for dinner. We were seated right away. Our server was so accommodating, he asked the bartender to make a Michelada for my husband that wasn't on the menu! I ordered a strawberry margarita and once we both had our drinks, our server made sure our first sip was to our liking, asking if we'd like the ratios changed or if my husband would like more tajin or limes for his drink. So thoughtful. The menu has pretty standard items but a variety for sure. Overall great taste and all of our food hot. Thank you so much to the staff and chefs. Will definitely be back! ?
Visiting San Juan Capistrano we were crestfallen when we discovered the Walnut Grove Diner had closed down. However, a local advised us to try Mollie's Cafe. We were delighted to discover a more than worthy successor. The food at Mollie's was excellent try the peach cobbler and the staff were genuinely friendly. This is the place to go for food in SJC.

First visit, it’s not in the greatest location, slightly shabby.But friendly staff, opened the door for us, and quickly greeted us at our table.I had a tuna melt with fries. Served hot (the filling was steaming), fries hot, all good.Looks like it might be really good for breakfast, I’ll be back.Recommended.

$3.50 for just three tortillas? The menu prices are all quite high, and the restaurant itself is small with no standout features. Personally, I'd prefer to dine elsewhere. Even at Denny's, you'd get better value for similar food.
