I don’t write reviews. If I write, I’d write it with great appreciation. I live in Newstead and that is why I decided to try this restaurant (I usually try Japanese restaurant cautiously). This is my third ?forth time to dine in on a Saturday for lunch. This restaurant has not disappointed me even once since it’s opening.I have Kaisen don (sashimi don) every time. The sashimi is always nice and fresh in good variety and generous serving. Also, the staffs are always warm and welcoming.If my partner or friend ask me to go out for a poke bowl, I would rather come here for a sashimi don without a hesitation. Finally, I believe the quality of the food is better than how it is rated.

As I explored more Japanese restaurants to try, I decided to visit Momiji, which had opened a few months ago in Newstead. I hadn't come across much on social media about this spot, but a friend highly recommended it. We went there for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was about half full, and I really enjoyed the authentic Japanese ambiance of the setting. The service was prompt and friendly.

We started with the Agedashi Tofu, which was fantastic, featuring a nicely balanced broth. We then had the Sashimi Don and Kaisen Don, both of which included some of the freshest raw fish we’ve ever tasted. Honestly, I believe they could charge at least 25% more for the quality of the food. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! We will definitely return!

This was one of the best lunches I've had in a long time. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Don lunch special, and it was flawless. For such a reasonable price, you definitely get your money's worth. The service was excellent as well! Everyone was incredibly friendly and contributed to a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back! Reserva una mesa ahora

Absolutely love this place! We come here once a week at least... they are the loveliest people and deserve to do so well!! Their prawn tempura, gyoza and chicken teriyaki is absolutely delicious!! Have been waiting for a jap place to open around us for so long so this is heaven!! See you guys soon

Never lets me down. I’ve had their Chicken Yakisoba numerous times and I still drool thinking about it. Tried their lunchtime sushi rolls today (Chicken Teriyaki and Chicken Katsu), made fresh to order, and WOW. Loved every single bite. Service is always above and beyond too!

Momiji Newstead is absolutely worth a try! Food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. I had aburi wagyu and Momiji bento box last night and they were so delicious, good portion, reasonably priced. Can’t believe the rating here is 3.4 only. Do not trust it.

This place is so cute! I found them on Zomato looking for a newly opened place and so glad I went. The server (maybe manager was so nice and I had the udon the chicken was so juicy! Definitely coming back soon! I’ll try some sushi next time : Reserva una mesa ahora

Delicious and super fresh! Good price, always super quick and friendly service. Highly recommend eating here. The bento box is great value. Best miso soup I’ve tasted!
