A few days ago, my wife and I stopped by this restaurant after running some errands in the area. The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe that showcases its family-owned roots, and the service was very attentive. We were pretty hungry, so we ordered the toro sashimi, negitoro maki, Alaska roll, Momotaro roll, and the house roll. Both the negitoro maki and toro sashimi were good, scoring a 7/10. However, the Alaska roll (8.5/10), Momotaro special roll (8/10), and house roll (8/10) were truly exceptional. The sushi and food here are delicious and reasonably priced. However, I found it uncomfortable when the server pressed and selected a 20% tip option on the credit card machine before handing it to me while I picked up my takeout order. While I’m always happy to tip, I believe it should be left to the customer’s discretion. I hope this was just an isolated incident and not standard practice at your restaurant. I genuinely want to continue supporting local businesses, so I hope this situation doesn’t contribute to the already challenging environment that restaurants face.

I've been ordering takeout from Momotaro for a few years now, and their quality never disappoints. The sushi rice is perfectly cooked, the sashimi is fresh and of great quality, and the prices are reasonable. The service is always attentive. This is my favorite spot for my weekly cheat meal. Without a doubt, it's the best sushi takeout in South Surrey/White Rock. The freshness and quality of the food are exceptional. Be sure to try the Rainbow Rolls, Fancy Rolls, Momotaro Combo, and Part Tray B. They also give a generous amount of pickled ginger. Plus, you get a 10% discount for pick-up—what more could you want?

Our new favorite restaurant! We've been living in South Surrey for over 10 years and only found this gem this year. We've really been missing out on some of the most delicious and freshest sushi! The prices are quite reasonable, and we appreciate that they use sockeye salmon. We order from here at least once a month and will definitely keep returning!

My sister and I really enjoy ordering takeout for lunch from this place! The quality is outstanding, and it might just be the best sushi in the area. The sushi is beautifully prepared and packaged, and it tastes amazing. I highly recommend it! For lunch, I like to grab a takeout box along with a bubble tea from Tofun, which is just a few stores down.

This is a great sushi spot. Like several others in the area, it's somewhat hidden and easy to overlook. The food was fresh and tasty. My only drawback was that they use imitation crab in their dynamite roll, which I found a bit unusual. The sushi at this restaurant is outstanding! Each dish was not only delicious but also incredibly fresh. The service was excellent; our waiter ensured that our tea stayed hot and was always refilled during our meal. I will definitely return the next time I’m in the area!

The Dancing Eel was simply amazing. It featured a generous piece of eel placed atop a California roll, creating a wonderful blend of flavors that was truly enjoyable.
