Always a treat when we can eat here! We have missed it since moving away. My hubs absolutely loves the Mom's burger. I tasted the meat. Handmade patty, fresh yummy. I like to get the chicken fried steak dinner. Listen, for $13 you get 2 sides toast. The steak is battered fried perfectly every time. The steak is also the thickest you will find around here in Lufkin. I highly recommend Moms Diner over Texas Roadhouse for chicken fried steak burgers. Ppl are adorable Friendly. Sweet tea is tasty. Absolutely the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The sautéed onions in their secret sauce were just mouth-watering. The burger wasn’t dry. Felt like it just melted in your mouth. We first visited in 2017, just days after Harvey. There was nowhere open, including Mom's. But the staff was here, cooking for displaced locals and welcomed us in for a burger. They even refused payment. Today's burgers were just as good. Many thanks.
