Monarch And The Milkweed

I love monarch and the milkweed. The space is beautiful and the cocktails are delicious. However there is one particular staff member that has an awful attitude. Every time my friends and I visit they make rude comments and have also physically ran into us without apologizing. This person is very cold and off putting and makes me not want to support the business. One time my friend asked politely what a drink tasted like, citrus-y, floral etc and the individual said, you want to know what I think about this drink? I absolutely would NOT recommend it to someone that wants something citrus-y. They tried to seat 3 people at a crowded table in the corner and upon telling them we could not fit they rolled their eyes and told us we could stand up by the bathroom then. I thought I would give the place another chance and last night at 10pm the person started blasting screamo music. When everyone in the space looked over they were laughing very hard. As someone who has worked in the service industry I do not understand why this particular person is so rude. I have heard from many people that the person makes them not want to go into the business and has made them leave and go to a different cocktail bar.

Had a pre-dinner beverage at Monarch The Milkweed. A very cool cocktail bar, which also dabbles with CBD confections, and offers a wide assortment of unique drinks. Quality: They put a lot of effort into their drink menu, and Living The DREAMsicle is the full proof of that. The cocktail was over the top, and incredible. Truly like eating the creamsicle. While it is more of an end of meal drink, it was too exciting not to order and enjoy. Quantity: Fair pours for all the drinks I saw. Value: $13-$16 for Original Cocktails. Ambiance: Monarch the Milkweed is a cocktail bar located in Burlington. It is a very stylish bar, that has a lounge area at the front and an intimate bar at the back. It had a fairly simple look, and would likely feel like a coffeeshop in the light. However, with dim lighting and some halloween decor up, it had a more sophisticated feel at night. They also had some local art on display along the walls. Crowd: A few other folks at the bar on Sunday evening. Service: The bartender was very friendly and excited about my drink order and wanted to share small pours of it with the rest of the guests. Parking: Some nearby street parking.

Monarch and the Milkweed has both a wildly creative and innovative cocktail menu with seasonally inspired flavors, and an extensive wine and beer menu for a cocktail bar. Additionally, it is a much more laid back and upscale vibe than many of the college bars in town. Definitely a must go spot if you’re in Burlington! So glad i went.

This place is small and is good at changing their menus. Their cocktails are tasty and their staff is friendly. I give 3 stars because it is small and also I could smell the bathroom because it is such a small place.

Delicious treats. Don't eat them all in one sitting... Save some to take with you.
